Edlyn Gonzalez, Allicia Lawson, Jasmine Romero Set for New Haarlem Arts Theatre’s Sweet Charity

New Haarlem Arts Theatre has announced full casting for its production of the musical Sweet Charity, to run July 26-August 19 at Aaron Davis Hall.


Julio Agustin will direct the show, with musical direction by Brett Pontecorvo, choreography by Lainie Munro, and musical supervision by Andre Danek. The show has a score by Cy Coleman and Dorothy Fields and a book by Neil Simon.

In this re-envisioned production, the characters will reflect the changing roles of Latinos in our society.

Leading the cast are Edlyn González (Charity/Caridad), Dennis Wit (Herman), Cedric Leiba, Jr. (Vittorio), Jeff Wojcicki (Oscar), Aili Venho (Helene), Allicia Lawson (Nickie), Jasmine Romero (Ursula), and Tiffany Caserta (Daddy Johann Sebastian Brubeck).


The ensemble features Adam Aguilar Jimenez, Skizzo Armedillo, Wilber Escobar, Ehizoje Azeke, Anthony Martinez, Ari Stachel, Roberto Guzman, Timothy Chan, Bernard Johnson, Alexander Casasnovas, Amy Lee Sanchez, Kelly Rosado, Jade Eshete, Mabel Gomez, Monica Delgado, Maria del Mar Gonzalez, Shiori Ichikawa, Samantha Randolph, Trevania Campbell, and Alyssa Gomez.

The design team will include Patrice Davidson (set design), Mary Myers (costume design), Thurston Reyes (lighting design), and Aman-re Jack (sound design).
