The two-night, four-hour miniseries is based on Michael Crichton's 1978 film version of Robin Cook's best-selling novel about a doctor (Ambrose) who begins to suspect that something is amiss when healthy patients begin to fall into comas.

Oscar winners Richard Dreyfuss, Ellen Burstyn, and Geena Davis, along with James Rebhorn, Joe Morton, Joseph Mazello, and James Woods, will also appear in the miniseries.
