Broadway's Jesus Christ Superstar Will Close on July 1

The Broadway revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's Jesus Christ Superstar will close on Sunday, July 1 at the Neil Simon Theatre.

The production, which originated at The Stratford Shakespeare Festival, is directed by Tony Award winner Des McAnuff. It received a 2012 Tony Award nomination for Best Revival of a Musical.

The cast features Paul Nolan as Jesus Christ, 2012 Tony Award nominee Josh Young Chilina Kennedy as Mary Magdalene, Tom Hewitt as Pontius Pilate, Bruce Dow as King Herod, Marcus Nance as Caiaphas, and Aaron Walpole as Annas.

The ensemble includes Matt Alfano, Mary Antonini, Karen Burthwright, Jacqueline Burtney, Nick Cartell, Mark Cassius, Ryan Gifford, Kaylee Harwood, Jeremy Kushnier, Mike Nadajewski, Melissa O'Neil, Laurin Padolina, Katrina Reynolds, Jaz Sealey, Jason Sermonia, Julius Sermonia, Lee Siegel, Matt Stokes, Jonathan Winsby, Sandy Winsby, Krista Leis, and Matthew Rossoff.
