Anthony Rapp to Headline Concert Benefitting Upcoming New York Premiere of The Water Dream

Anthony Rapp will headline a benefit concert at The Irish Rogue (356 W. 44th Street) to raise funds for the upcoming New York premiere of Shawn Cody’s The Water Dream on Saturday, June 30 from 8pm to 10pm.
Rapp, along with Doug Chapman, Alexis Hightower, Justin Hines, Emily Otto, and Kris Rogers will perform rock and contemporary musical theater favorites at the party, which will also feature a live auction.
The Water Dream is intended to make its New York premiere in summer 2013, with Broadway to follow in 2014. The musical tells the story of Cole Whalebone, a thirtysomething Seattle-based writer dealing with the nightmare of his mother’s death, bouts of insomnia, and writer’s block. Rapp has appeared in multiple previous readings of the piece, and is expected to star in the 2013 production.
