The Off-Broadway musical The Sphinx Winx will play its final performance at Theatre Row’s Beckett Theatre on Sunday, June 19. The show, which opened on May 18, was previously announced to run through July 24.

The musical features book & lyrics by Philip Capice, Anne Hitchner, and Robert Keuch with music by Kenneth Hitchner Jr. — and is described as a “musical-comedy misinterpretation of ancient Egyptian history.”

The cast stars Bruce Sabath as Julius Caesar, Bret Shuford as Marc Antony and Erika Amato as Cleopatra, and also features Rebecca Riker, Beth Cheryl Tarnow and Ryan Williams. Matthew Hamel directs.

The creative team includes Tara Jeanne Vallee (choreography), Jeffrey Lodin (musical direction), Robert Kovach (scenic design), Gail Baldoni (costume design), Annmarie Duggan (lighting design) and David Lawson (sound design). Orchestrations are by Doug Katsaros, with arrangements by Jeffrey Lodin.
