The 2011 Tony Awards were presented at The Beacon Theatre on Sunday, June 12, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris.
TheaterMania was on the scene to photograph arrivals on the red carpet. Included in this photo flash are: Laura Benanti, Tammy Blanchard, Christie Brinkley, Len Cariou, Billy Crudup, Viola Davis, Whoopi Goldberg, Joel Grey, Patina Miller, Al Pacino, Jim Parsons, Vanessa Redgrave, Brooke Shields, Martha Wash, and Andrew Lloyd Webber.
The Tony Awards broadcast featured numbers from the 2011 Tony-nominated Best Musicals: Catch Me If You Can; Sister Act; The Book of Mormon; and The Scottsboro Boys; as well as the Best Musical Revivals, Anything Goes and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. There are also offerings from the 2010 Tony Award-winning musical Memphis, as well as Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark; John Leguizamo’s Ghetto Klown; and Priscilla Queen of the Desert.
The show also featured appearances by Paul Shaffer and Martha Wash, along with a number from Company, featuring performers from the New York Philharmonic’s recent concert, including Harris and Patti LuPone.
