On Tuesday, June 28, members of the press met the cast of Primary Stages' world premiere production of Charles Busch's Olive and the Bitter Herbs at the Primary Stages rehearsal studios. The show will perform at 59E59 Theaters under the direction of Mark Brokaw, July 26-September 3, with an official opening on August 16.

The comedy centers on an actress who finds herself coping with the ghost that she sees in her mirror as well as hosting an unconventional Passover Seder for her neighbors.

The company will star Marcia Jean Kurtz as Olive as well as Dan Butler as Trey, David Garrison as Robert, Julie Halston as Wendy, and Richard Masur as Sylvan. The creative team includes Anna Louizos (scenic design), Suzy Benzinger (costume design), M.L. Geiger (lighting design), and Lewis Flinn (original music).
