PHOTO FLASH: Brent Barrett, Jenn Harris, Stephen Bienskie and More at Silence! The Musical First Rehearsal

On Tuesday, June 14, members of the press got a sneak peek at the Off-Broadway production of Silence! The Musical, which had its first rehearsal in preparation for its June 24 – August 13 run. Christopher Gattelli, who staged the piece at the New York International Fringe Festival in 2005 and directed a 2010 production in London, will direct and choreograph.
The show, with a book by Hunter Bell and music and lyrics by Jon and Al Kaplan, is an unauthorized parody of the thriller Silence of the Lambs, which focuses on rookie FBI agent Clarice Starling as she uses her relationship with Dr. Hannibal Lecter to hunt serial killer Buffalo Bill.
The company will feature Brent Barrett (Lecter), Stephen Bienskie (Buffalo Bill), Jenn Harris (Starling), Deidre Goodwin (Ardelia Mapp), Jeff Hiller (Pembry/Miggs/Lamb), Harry Bouvy (Dr. Chilton), Howard Kaye (Jack Crawford), Lucia Spina (Catherine Martin), and Callan Bergmann (Ensemble).
The creative team will include Scott Pask (scenic design) and Jeff Croiter (lighting design), Mark Hartman (musical director), and Brian J. Nash (arrangements & orchestrations).
