New York Public Library for the Performing Arts to Present Noël Coward Exhibition

The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center and the Noël Coward Foundation will present the exhibition, Star Quality: The World of Noël Coward, March 12-June 9, 2012.

The exhibit, to be shown in the Donald and Mary Oenslager Gallery, will include photographs, programs, scripts, costumes, personal effects, memorabilia, and other objects, many previously unseen; as well as audio and video components.

Coward’s numerous plays include Blithe Spirit, Present Laughter, Private Lives, and Design for Living. His songs have been used in numerous musical theater pieces, including Brief Encounter, seen earlier this season on Broadway and based upon his screenplay of the same name.

A series of related public and educational programs will be presented city wide, in conjunction with the exhibition.
