The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) has announced seven of the musicals that have been invited to the 2011 festival, to run September 26 – October 16. The works join NYMF’s previously announced Next Link Project productions on the 2011 festival slate. This One Girl’s Story, by bookwriter Bil Wright and songwriter Dionne McClain-Freeney, will be directed by Jeremy Dobrish.

This year’s invited musicals also include Cyclops: A Rock Opera, featuring a book by Chas LiBretto and music and lyrics by Jayson Landon Marcus, with Benjamin Sherman to be directed by Louis Butelli; Kevin Ray and Josh Sohn’s The Last Word, to be directed by Christopher Windom; Ennio: The Living Paper Cartoon, which is created and performed by Ennio Marchetto; and Les Enfants de Paris, which has a book by Stacey Weingarten and music and lyrics by David Levinson to be directed by Donna Drake.
