Knickerbocker Holiday CD, with Ben Davis, Victor Garber, Kelli O’Hara, et al. Set for June 28 Release

The recording of The Collegiate Chorale’s concert performance of Kurt Weill’s and Maxwell Anderson’s Knickerbocker Holiday will be released for digital download and purchase by Ghostlight Records on June 28.

The musical centers on a romance that develops in New York when it was still under the rule of the Dutch and the colony’s newest governor, Peter Stuvesant.

The album, recorded during performances on January 25-26 at Alice Tully Hall, features Victor Garber as Stuyvesant, Ben Davis as Brom, Bryce Pinkham as Washington Irving, David Garrison as Tienhoven, Kelli O’Hara as love interest Tina, Christopher Fitzgerald as faithful sidekick Tenpin, Michael McCormick as Marshal Schermerhorn, and the councilmen are portrayed by Brad Oscar, Steve Rosen, Brooks Ashmanskas, Jeff Blumenkrantz, and Orville Mendoza. The production was directed by Ted Sperling and conducted by James Bagwell with The Collegiate Chorale and the American Symphony Orchestra.
