Tony Award winner Kelly Bishop will take over the role of Evangeline Harcourt in the Tony Award-winning revival of Anything Goes, at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre, beginning with the Tuesday, August 9 performance. She replaces Jessica Walter, who will play her final performance on Sunday, July 31.

The show features a score by Cole Porter, original book by P.G. Wodehouse & Guy Bolton and Howard Lindsay & Russel Crouse, and a new book by Timothy Crouse and John Weidman. In the musical, the S.S. American heads out to sea, and etiquette and convention head out the portholes as two unlikely pairs set off on the course to true love.

The production is directed and choreographed by 2011 Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall, and stars 2011 Tony Award winner Sutton Foster as Reno Sweeney and Tony and Academy Award winner Joel Grey as Moonface Martin. It is scheduled to run through Sunday, January 8.

Bishop won Tony and Drama Desk Awards for originating the role of Sheila in A Chorus Line. Her Broadway credits also include Proposals, The Last Night of Ballyhoo and Six Degrees of Separation.
