Denis O’Hare and Sloane Shelton will appear in a reading of Ian Mairs’ Our David, to be offered on Thursday, July 7 at 8pm at the Samuel Beckett Theatre on Theater Row. Carrie Preston will direct the performance which will serve as a benefit for The Hetrick-Martin Institute.

The play is set in small-town America and centers on the uneasy relationship between two neighbors: Velma, a widowed grandmother, and Clyde, who has just moved to town from New York City, looking for solitude after losing his lover and most of his friends to AIDS.

The Hetrick-Martin Institute is home of the Harvey Milk High School, which helps to provide a safe and supportive learning environment for young people, regardless of sexual orientation or identity.
