Dan Butler, David Garrison, Julie Halston et al. Set for Charles Busch’s Olive and the Bitter Herbs

David Garrison will complete the cast of Primary Stages’ world premiere production of Charles Busch’s Olive and the Bitter Herbs, to run July 26 – September 3 at 59E59 Theaters. Mark Brokaw will direct the production, which will open on August 16.

The comedy centers on an actress who finds herself coping with the ghost that she sees in her mirror as well as hosting an unconventional Passover Seder for her neighbors.

Garrison, who will play Robert, joins the previously reported Dan Butler as Trey, Julie Halston as Wendy, Marcia Jean Kurtz as Olive, and Richard Masur as Sylvan.

The creative team will include Anna Louizos (scenic design), Suzy Benzinger (costume design), M.L. Geiger (lighting design) and Lewis Flinn (original music).
