Baby Jane Dexter to Celebrate The Real World CD Release with Metropolitan Room Concerts

Baby Jane Dexter will celebrate the release of her new CD The Real World, with a series of encore performances of the show at the Metropolitan Room, running July 8-9 and July 15-16 at 7pm.

The album, recorded live when Dexter first offered the concerts that have given the disc its name in late 2010, contains songs by Billie Holiday, Janis Ian, Roy Orbison, John Sebastian, and Alec Wilder, among others.

Dexter’s other albums include With Arms Wide Open, You’re Following Me! and I Got Thunder, and Big Bad & Blues. She has won two Back Stage Bistro Awards; six MAC Awards; and 2009 and 2010 Nightlife Awards.
