59E59 Theaters Announces Lineup for 2011 East to Edinburgh Festival

59E59 Theaters has announced the lineup for the 2011 East to Edinburgh Festival, to run July 12-31. The series showcases U.S. productions that will be traveling to Scotland for the annual Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

The festival will include Amy E. Witting’s G.I. Joe Jared, Based on One Really Bad Date, Julien Schwab’s rogerandtom, Ryan Good and Ryan Scammell’s Interpretive Dances to my Diary!!! (72% Non-fiction), Alexandra Zelman-Doring’s To Hold an Apple, Andrew Hopper’s Radio Deluxembourg, Jaclyn Villano’s Unanswered, We Ride, Deborah Dennison’s God’s Fool, and Rich Orloff’s Funny as a Crutch, as well Dr. Apple’s Last Lecture, devised and written by Hole in the Sky Theater Company.


In addition, Katharine Heller, Brenna Palughi, Lauren Seikaly, Molly Knefel, Daliya Karnofsky and Rachel Axelrod will offer a single of the live sitcom web series Naked in A Fishbowl, and Desiree Burch will host three performances of SMUT: Art That Should Carry a Parental Advisory Label, a performance series that will feature such guests as Corn Mo, Greg Walloch, David Rees, Daniel Ajl Kitrosser and Nathan Phillips.

Solo shows in the Festival will include David Lee Nelson…Status Update, Jonathan Prager: My Damage is My Gift!, Liora Harvin’s The Truth About Suburban Black Girls, and Danusia Trevino’s Wonder Bread.
