Viola Davis, Jonathan Groff, Alfred Molina, Vanessa Williams, et al. to Participate in Theatre World Award Ceremony

Kate Burton, Michael Cristofer, Viola Davis, Jonathan Groff, Robert LuPone, Alli Mauzey, Michael McKean, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Alfred Molina, Loretta Ables Sayre, John Tartaglia, and Vanessa Williams are expected to be participate in the invitation only 2010 Theatre World Awards ceremony to be held on Tuesday, June 8 at New World Stages. TheaterMania contributor Peter Filichia will host the event, which will be directed by Barry Keating and have musical direction by Alex Rybeck.

As previously announced, the 2009-10 Theatre World Award winners are: Nina Arianda, Chris Chalk, Bill Heck, Jon Michael Hill, Scarlett Johansson, Keira Keeley, Sahr Ngaujah, Eddie Redmayne, Andrea Riseborough, Heidi Schreck, Stephanie Umoh, and Michael Urie. In addition, and also as previously reported, the Dorothy Loudon Starbaby Award will be presented to Bobby Steggert, for his performances in Ragtime and Yank!.
