Tom Jones to Play Final Performance in Off-Broadway Fantasticks June 6

Tom Jones will play his final performances as Henry in the Off-Broadway run of The Fantasticks, at the Snapple Theater Center, on Sunday, June 6 at 3pm and 7:15pm. Jones, who is also the lyricist, book writer, and director of the musical, first played the role in 1960 during the show’s original run at the Sullivan Street Playhouse.

The Fantasticks, with music by Harvey Schmidt, is a romantic comedy about a boy and girl who fall in and out of love at the hands of their meddling fathers. The score includes such hit songs as “Try To Remember,” “They Were You,” and “Soon It’s Gonna Rain.”

The current cast also includes Edward Watts, Erik Altemus, Tom Flagg, Gene Jones, Matt Leisy, Michael Nostrand, Evy Ortiz, Steve Routman, Kimberly Whalen, and Scott Willis.
