Ruthie Henshall Extends Run in Broadway’s Chicago Through August 29; John O’Hurley, Amra-Faye Wright , Carol Woods to Rejoin Production

Ruthie Henshall will continue her run as Roxie in the Broadway company of Chicago at the Ambassador Theatre through August 29.

The cast also includes Terra C. MacLeod as Velma Kelly, Colman Domingo as Billy Flynn, Tom Riis Farrell as Amos Hart, and Terri White as Matron “Mama” Morton.

Amra-Faye Wright and Carol Woods rejoin the production as Velma and “Mama Morton,” respectively, on July 13, and John O’Hurley returns to role of Billy Flynn on July 20.

Henshall won an Olivier Award for her performance as Roxie, and has previously appeared on Broadway in Chicago, playing Velma Kelly, as well as Putting It Together and Miss Saigon. Among her other U.K. credits are Marguerite, Cats, Les Miserables, and Oliver!.

Chicago has been directed by Walter Bobbie and choreographed by Ann Reinking. The creative team includes John Lee Beatty (scenic design), William Ivey Long (costume design), Ken Billington (lighting design), and Scott Lehrer (sound design).
