Adam Chanler-Berat, Jennifer Damiano, and Kyle Dean Massey from Broadway’s Next to Normal headlined a Wednesday, June 23 benefit concert at Joe’s Pub in support of Broadway Impact. Kate Shindle served as host.
Performers also included Jessica Phillips and Brian Crum. The musicians were Adam Wachter, musical director on the piano, with Michael Haas on cello.
The event kicked off Broadway Impact’s summer concert series, which features cast members from various Broadway shows. As previously reported, the next concert will be held on Sunday, July 25 at 9:30pm and feature cast members from American Idiot.
Proceeds from the concerts go directly to Broadway Impact to support their continued efforts in the fight for marriage equality. The grassroots organization was founded by Gavin Creel, Rory O’Malley, and Jenny Kanelos.
