Stage and screen star Oliver Platt will be honored at Tufts University’s 6th Annual P.T. Barnum Awards for Excellence in Entertainment on Monday, June 7 at the Stanley H. Kaplan Penthouse at Lincoln Center.

At the event, entitled From Ballou to Broadway, three other Tufts alumnae, choreographer Art Bridgman and producer Lisa Lax and Nancy Stern, will also receive awards. Actor Hank Azaria and director Joel Bishoff, also Tufts alumnae, will be the event’s honorary emcees.

Platt appeared on Broadway in the 2009 revival of Guys and Dolls and in the Manhattan Theatre Club staging of Shining City. He co-starred in the film version of Frost/Nixon, and appeared opposite Azaria in the Showtime series Huff. Beginning in August, he will be seen co-starring with Laura Linney in the Showtime series The C Word.
