Mark H. Dold and Martin Rayner will reprise their portrayals of C.S. Lewis and Sigmund Freud, respectively, in an Off-Broadway engagement of Mark St. Germain’s Freud’s Last Session, to begin performances July 9 at the Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater in anticipation of an official opening on July 22. Tyler Marchant will direct the production, which, as previously announced, will play Barrington Stage Company later this month.

Suggested by the bestselling book The Question of God by Dr. Armand M. Nicholi, Jr., Freud’s Last Session centers on an encounter between Freud and Lewis just weeks before Freud chooses to take his own life.

The creative team includes Brian Prather (scenic design), Mark Mariani (costume design), Clifton Taylor (lighting design), and Beth Lake (sound design).
