The Roundabout Theatre Company will present the Kneehigh Theatre’s critically acclaimed production of Brief Encounter on Broadway at Studio 54, September 10-December 5, with an opening on September 28. Emma Rice has adapted and directed the piece.

Brief Encounter combines elements of Noël Coward’s screenplay, and the one act play on which it was based, with song, dance and Technicolor displays of emotion. It previously played New York at St. Ann’s Warehouse in December 2009.

The design team includes Neil Murray (sets & costumes), Malcolm Rippeth (lighting), Simon Baker (sound) and Gemma Carrington & Jon Driscoll (projection). Casting will be announced at a later date.
