Tommy Tune and Wesley Taylor will serve as presenters at the 2nd Annual National High School Musical Theater Awards (NHSMTA) ceremony to be held on June 28 at the Marquis Theatre. Kathie Lee Gifford will serve as host of the event. Additional celebrity participants will be announced at a later date.

The awards recognize student achievement and excellence in vocal, dance and acting performance. In addition to the awards for Best Performance by an Actor and Best Performance by an Actress, the participants compete for merit scholarships and professional opportunities.

The ceremony will feature not only the presentation of the prizes, but also student performances and a special appearance by the cast of Come Fly Away, which will be accompanied by a 16-piece orchestra, including eight students from New York City’s Frank Sinatra School of the Arts High School.
