Judy Garland – Lost Tracks 4-CD Set to Feature Previously Unreleased Recordings

Fifty-five previously unreleased recordings by Judy Garland will be included in the four-CD box set Judy Garland – Lost Tracks, which will be released in the United Kingdom on August 2. John Stedman has produced the completely remastered set, which will has been compiled and annotated by Lawrence Schulman.

The discs cover Garland’s career from 1929-1959 and include the singer’s very first studio recordings, including a rendition of “Bill,” and a medley featuring “On the Good Ship Lollipop,” made in 1935 when she was 12-years-old. Also included in the set are radio performances that Garland offered between 1935-1953, including her early appearances on The Shell Chateau Hour and The The Pepsodent Show with Bob Hope, as well as recordings from her stage performances offered between 1940-1959.

The discs feature Garland not only as a solo singer, but also in duets with such artists as Mickey Rooney, Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly, and Ira Gershwin. Among the songs that are featured on the discs are “Strike Up the Band,” “Blue Skies,” “How Deep is The Ocean?” “It Only Happens When I Dance with You,” “This is New,” and “My Ship.”
