The 2008 Tony Award winner for best musical is directed by Thomas Kail, with choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler. Featuring music and lyrics by Lin Manuel Miranda, and a book by Quiara Alegría Hudes, the musical focuses on the tight-knit community at the top of the island of Manhattan and the hopes and dreams of three generations as they struggle to forge an identity in a neighborhood on the brink of transition.
Rua made his Broadway debut in the musical as a swing, and an understudy for the roles of Usnavi and Graffiti Pete. Taylor-Corbett was part of the musical's original company, and returns to the Broadway production directly from the national tour.
