Angela Lansbury Among Honorees at Made in NY Awards

2010 Tony nominee Angela Lansbury was among the honorees at the 5th annual Made in NY Awards, according to published reports. The awards were presented at Gracie Mansion by Mayor Michael Bloomberg on Monday, June 7.

Additional honorees included the television programs Saturday Night Live, Law & Order, and As the World Turns, as well as director Lee Daniels, HSI Productions, WFT Productions, and Brooklyn Workforce Innovations.

Lansbury is currently starring in the Broadway revival of A Little Night Music and has earned a Tony Award nomination for her work in the show. She’s won Tony Awards for her performances in Sweeney Todd, Mame, Dear World, Gypsy, and, most recently, Blithe Spirit. She may be best known as Jessica Fletcher from television’s Murder, She Wrote, for which she won four Golden Globe Awards.
