Nathan Gunn to Appear With New York Philharmonic in Free Central Park Concert

Opera and theater star Nathan Gunn will appear with the New York Philharmonic for a free concert in Central Park, at 8pm on Friday, July 17. Alan Gilbert will conduct the orchestra.

The concert will feature selections from Aaron Copland’s Old American Songs, Mahler’s Symphony No. 1 and various arias by Wolfgand Amadeus Mozart. A fireworks display will follow the concert.

Gunn has appeared in staged concert versions of The Firebrand of Florence and Camelot, and has starred in numerous operas around the world, including The Magic Flute.

The Philharmonic will be presenting various concerts around New York City in July.
