Kevin Spacey’s Shrink Film to Get July 24 Release

Shrink, a new film starring Oscar and Tony Award winner Kevin Spacey as a Hollywood psychiatrist, will get a limited release on July 24, with an expanded release set for July 31.

The film, which is directed by Jonas Pate and written by Thomas Moffett, also stars Robert Loggia, Pell James, Keke Palmer, Griffin Dunne, Saffron Burrows, Jack Huston, Dallas Roberts, Gore Vidal, Laura Ramsey, Mark Webber, Jesse Plemons, and Joel Gretsch.

Spacey will star this fall in the Old Vic’s production of Inherit the Wind. He won the Tony Award as Best Featured Actor in a Play for Lost in Yonkers and received a Best Actor nomination for The Iceman Cometh. His other stage credits include Ghosts, Hurlyburly, Long Day’s Journey Into Night, and A Moon for the Misbegotten.

Spacey’s voice will be heard in the film Moon, opening June 12, and he has recently signed to star in a film version of George Orwell’s Catalonia. He won Oscars for his work in American Beauty and The Usual Suspects.
