Kelly Bishop to Guest Star on TV’s Army Wives

Tony Award winner Kelly Bishop will guest star on Lifetime’s hit series Army Wives during its third season, which begins on Sunday, June 7, according to TVGuide.com.

The web site reports that she’ll be playing the wife of a late, great state senator, who comes to town to attend a building-naming ceremony.

Bishop won the Tony for her performance as Sheila in the original production of A Chorus Line. Her other Broadway credits include Golden Rainbow, Promises, Promises, Six Degrees of Separation, Bus Stop, The Last Night of Ballyhoo, and Proposals, and she starred recently in the hit Second Stage production of Becky Shaw. Bishop also starred in the hit TV series Gilmore Girls.
