Two-time Tony Award winner Brian Dennehy will star in a Broadway mounting of a double bill of Eugene O’Neill’s Hughie and Samuel Beckett’s Krapp’s Last Tape beginning April 12, 2010, according to The New York Times. No theater has been announced.

As previously announced, the double-bill will first play the Goodman Theater in January. Dennehy also performed the two plays at Canada’s Stratford Shakespeare Festival in 2008, and also performed Hughie at Connecticut’s Long Wharf Theatre later that year.

Dennehy starred in the Goodman’s recent Broadway production of Desire Under the Elms, and won his Tonys for Death of a Salesman (which also garnered him an Olivier Award) and Long Day’s Journey Into Night. Additional Broadway credits include Inherit the Wind and Translations. He has numerous film and television credits, earning two Golden Globe Awards and six Emmy nominations.
