Bill Pullman and Julia Stiles will reprise their starring roles in the Doug Hughes-helmed production of David Mamet’s Oleanna, currently at the Mark Taper Forum, when it comes to Broadway’s Golden Theatre, beginning September 29, with an opening set for October 11.

Mamet’s two-hander is an account of a power struggle between a male university professor and one of his female students. The Broadway production will feature the same creative team as in L.A., including scenic design by Neil Patel, costume design by Catherine Zuber, lighting design by Donald Holder, and fight direction by Rick Sordelet.

Pullman last appeared on Broadway in The Goat, or Who is Sylvia?, for which he received a Drama Desk nomination. He was also Drama Desk-nominated for the Off-Broadway production of Peter and Jerry and received a Helen Hayes Award nomination for The Subject Was Roses. He is best known for his starring roles in films such as Independence Day, Sleepless in Seattle, Ruthless People, While You Were Sleeping, Spaceballs, Bottle Shock, Noble Son, and the recently-released Surveillance.

Stiles, who will be making her Broadway debut, starred in a previous production of Oleanna on London’s West End in 2004. Additional stage credits include Twelfth Night, Fran’s Bed, and The Vagina Monologues. Her many films include 10 Things I Hate About You, Save the Last Dance, State and Main, Edmond, and the three Bourne movies — The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum.
