A July Jubilee!

Stephanie J. Block, Tituss Burgess, Gavin Creel, Mike Daisey, Emma Hunton, Donnie Kehr, Sharon McNight, Mark Nadler, Johnny Rodgers, Annie Ross, Kate Taylor, Natalie Toro, Jimmy Webb, and Alicia Witt are among the performers hitting the clubs this month.

While some of the city’s cabarets and clubs shut down in July, most not only stay open, but continue to serve up some of the most amazing entertainment to be found on the planet.

Feinstein’s at the Loews Regency is not only open this month, but is presenting nearly two dozen acts this month: Renee Taylor and Joe Bologna (July 1), Anders Holst (July 2), Delivery Girls (July 3), Natalie Toro (July 7), Sweet Baby J’ai (July 8-9), Ron Kaplan (July 10-11), Spider Saloff (July 12), Kate Taylor (July 13), Clayton Bryant (July 14, August 4), Frankie Randall (July 15-16), The Johnny Rodgers Band (July 17-18), Judy Marie Canterino (July 20), Julie Reyburn (July 21), Jimmy Webb (July 22 and 29), Jimmy and Donnie Demers (July 23), Barbara Carroll (July 24-25), Davis Gaines (July 26-27), Rendezvous (July 28), and Dave Frishberg (July 30-31),

The always exciting goings-on at Birdland include appearances by Lew Tabackin and Toshiko Akiyoshi Quartet (July 1-4); Dominick Farinacci (July 6); Stephanie J. Block (July 13), Louis Hayes Quintet (July 15-18); The Marcy & Zina Show with Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich and special guests Jill Abramovitz, Jeff Blumenkrantz, and Clinton Kelly (July 20); Cathy Rocco (July 21); Tituss Burgess & The Tight-Ass Band (July 27); and the Lou Donaldson Quartet (July 29-August 1).

The Metropolitan Room serves up a variety of top-notch acts including Joan Crowe (July 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30), Jenna Esposito (July 7 and 14), Meg Flather (July 9), Sarah Jean Ford (July 13), John Gabriel (July 17), Nicole Henry (July 31), Jonathan Long (July 19 and 28), Sharon McNight (July 15, 17, 23, and 24), Mark Nadler (July 1 and 8), Perry Payne (July 1, 2, 10, and 11), Annie Ross (July 7, 14, and 28), Marcus Simeone (July 11), and Jaron Vesley (July 10 and 18).

Joe’s Pub‘s something-for-everyone offerings include monologist Mike Daisey (July 6), singer-songwriter Joe Iconis (July 10 and 17), Donnie Kehr (July 13), stage and television favorite Alicia Witt (July 17), Hair star Bryce Ryness and his band (July 20), and former Spring Awakening star Emma Hunton with special guests Blake Daniel and Morgan Karr. (July 20), and Tony Award nominee Gavin Creel (July 27).

Finally, at the Triad, the next edition of Erotic Broadway will take place on July 20, with special guests including John Selya, while comedian Sal Richards will perform his show The Way It Was on July 22 and 29, and singer Ilene Kristen will appear on July 30.
