On Monday night, the annual Fred & Adele Astaire Awards were held at the Manhattan Center. Nine-time Tony Award winner Tommy Tune received the first Douglas Watt Lifetime Achievement Award.
The beautiful Brooke Shields, star of the hit NBC series Lipstick Jungle, was on hand to present Tune with the award.
In the Heights star Karen Olivo (left), who was named Best Female Dancer on Broadway, had co-star Janet Dacal on hand for moral support.
Spencer Liff was named Best Male Dancer on Broadway for his astounding work in Cry-Baby.
The evening’s special guests included Tony winners Priscilla Lopez and Harold Prince, with singer Anna Bergman.
The multi-talented Karen Mason, who recently took over the role of Velma Von Tussle in Hairspray, was also at the event.
Here are two ladies who truly deserve to be called living legends: MGM film star Jane Powell and Tony winner Liliane Montevecchi.
