New York Times Company Fund Hands Out 25 Theater Grants

Twenty-five not-for-profit theatres were awarded a total of $82,000 in cash grants through The New York Times Company Foundation Fund for Mid-Size Theatres. The Fund is administered by the Alliance of Resident Theatres/New York (A.R.T./New York) and awards general operating grants to not-for-profit theatre companies with annual operating budgets between $500,000 and $5 million.

Recipients include the Pregones Theatre in the Bronx, Black Spectrum Theatre in Queens, Coney Island USA in Brooklyn, as well as the Classical Theatre of Harlem, Irish Repertory Theatre, Ma-Yi Theatre Ensemble, Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre, HERE Arts Center, The Wooster Group, The Mint Theater, and the Atlantic Theater Company.
