Michael Esper to Star in Reading of People Like You

Michael Esper will star in a reading of Connor Ratliff’s People Like You, to be presented as part of Theater for the New City’s “New City, New Blood” reading series, on Monday, June 16 at 7:30pm. Toby Ring Thelin will direct.

In the play, two women ensnare a man in a blackmail scheme and are presented with an unexpected proposal.

In addition to Esper, who will play Chris, the cast will include Danaher Dempsey (Jeremy), Birgit Huppuch (Linda’s Partner), and Sammy Tunis (Linda).

Esper recently starred Off-Broadway in The Four of Us, and additional credits include the world premiere of Edward Albee’s Me, Myself & I at the McCarter Theater, and Off-Broadway productions of Crazy Mary, SubUrbia, Manic Flight Reaction, and Big Bill.


Ratliff wrote the original screenplay for the award-winning independent feature film Living In Missouri, and is the author of the 10-minute play Tobias, Angel Of Heaven and the full-length play, Disposables.
