Kevin Spirtas to Join ABC’s One Life to Live

Stage star Kevin Spirtas will join the cast of the ABC daytime drama One Life to Live this summer, playing a new character, Jonas Chamberlain.

ABC recently announced that a number of the long-running soap opera’s former stars, including Andrea Evans, Thom Christopher, Susan Haskell, and Christopher Cousins, will rejoin the show this summer in their former roles. It is not known if or how Spirtas’ character will be connected to any of them.

Spirtas’ many stage credits include The Boy From Oz, Hairspray, A Chorus Line, Meet Me in St. Louis, They’re Playing Our Song and End of the World Party. He is best known to television viewers for his role as Dr. Craig Wesley on NBC’s Days of Our Lives.

One Life to Live has a long history of using stage actors in major roles. Its current cast includes Tony Award winner Patricia Elliott, and Broadway veterans Robin Strasser, Brian Kerwin, Catherine Hickland, Jason Tam, Ilene Kristen, Peter Bartlett, and Pamela Payton-Wright.
