The play is a comedy about a family that must confront its past as it prepares for its future. It was presented earlier this season by Primary Stages at 59E59 Theaters.

The production will reunite the entire 13-person Off-Broadway cast, which includes Elizabeth Ashley, Hallie Foote, Penny Fuller, Devon Abner, James DeMarse, Pat Bowie, Arthur French, Virginia Kull, Maggie Lacey, Nicole Lowrance, Gerald McRaney, Jenny Dare Paulin, and Keiana Richard.

The creative team will include Jeff Cowie (sets), David C. Woolard (costumes), Rui Rita (lighting), and John Gromada (original music and sound), the play’s original design team.

Foote won the Pulitzer Prize for The Young Man from Atlanta; his many other plays include The Trip to Bountiful, The Traveling Lady, and The Carpetbagger’s Children. Wilson is the artistic director of Hartford Stage. He previously directed the Broadway productions of Enchanted April and Old Acquaintance.
