Full casting has been announced for The York Theatre Company's production of Goodtime Charley, the latest show in its acclaimed Musicals in Mufti Series of musical theatre gems in staged concert performances. With music by Larry Grossman, book by Sidney Michaels and lyrics by Hal Hackady, the musical plays June 27-29 at the Theatre at Saint Peter's. Michael Montel directs, with musical direction by Lawrence Yurman.

Goodtime Charley focuses on Joan of Arc and King Charles VII. The simple peasant girl befriends the milquetoast monarch of France, dons armor, and leads the French army to victory, until her relationship with Charley succumbs to intrigue and distrust.

The cast stars Jenn Colella as Joan and Matt McGrath as Charley, as well as Angela DiCicco, Bryn Dowling, William Thomas Evans, Jonathan Hammond, Stephen Mo Hanan, Ana Nogueira, Scott Robertson, Christianne Tisdale, Alysha Umphress, Michael Winther, and Nick Wyman.

The Mufti season, all devoted to works by Grossman, will continue with a special revue of Grossman's songs (July 11-13), which will kick off the York's NEW2NY concert series to run in July and August.
