Broadway’s A Chorus Line to Close August 17

The current Broadway production of A Chorus Line will play its final performance on August 17 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre. Directed by Bob Avian, the revival will have played 18 preview and 759 regular performances.

Conceived and originally choreographed and directed by Michael Bennett, A Chorus Line has a book by James Kirkwood and Nicholas Dante, music by Marvin Hamlisch, and lyrics by Edward Kleban. Baayork Lee has restaged the original choreography. The production has scenery by Robin Wagner, costumes by Theoni V. Aldredge, lighting by Tharon Musser (adapted by Natasha Katz), and sound by Acme Sound Partners. Musical direction and supervision is by Patrick Vaccariello.

Actor Mario Lopez, best known for his work on TV’s Dancing With the Stars and Saved by the Bell, recently joined the cast in the role of Zach.
