Blum, Sullivan, Waterston, et al. Cast in Buffalo Gal at Primary Stages

Full casting has been announced for Primary Stages’ New York premiere of A.R. Gurney’s Buffalo Gal, to play 59E59 Theaters, July 22-August 30, with an opening set for August 5. Mark Lamos will direct.

The comedy concerns a faded film and television star who is persuaded to return to her hometown to star in a local theatre production and faces a dilemma when Hollywood comes calling.

The cast will include Mark Blum (Dan), Carmen M. Herlihy (Debbie), Jennifer Regan (Jackie), Susan Sullivan (Amanda), James Waterston (Roy), and Dathan B. Williams (James).

The creative team will include Andrew Jackness (set), Candice Donnelly (costumes), Mary Louise Geiger (lights), and John Gromada (original music and sound design).

Gurney’s numerous plays include Love Letters, The Dining Room, The Fourth Wall, Strictly Academic, The Cocktail Hour, and Indian Blood.
