Julie White to Star in O’Neill Reading of Good Boys and True

2007 Tony Award winner Julie White will perform in a public staged reading of Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa’s Good Boys and True, as part of this year’s Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center’s National Playwrights Conference next month in Waterford, Connecticut.

The reading, to be held on July 18 and 20, will be directed by Peter DuBois. The cast also includes Rebecca Brooksher, Ravena Fahey, Kevin Geer, Billy Magnusson, and Peter Stadlen. White was named Best Actress in a Play for The Little Dog Laughed.

Seven other plays will get readings during the conference: Deborah Zoe Laufer’s End Days (July 5 and 7); James Still’s The Velvet Rut (July 6 and 8); Samuel Brett Williams’ The Woodpecker (July 11 and 13); Rebecca Gilman’s The Crowd You’re In (July 12 and 14); Karen Zacarias’ The Book Club Play (July 19 and 21); Lucy Caldwell’s Guardians (July 25 and 27); and Ifa Bayeza’s The Ballad of Emmett Till (July 26 and 28).

Among the many other notable actors who will appear in the readings are Cherise Booth, Daniel Breaker, Colman Domingo, Mike Doyle, Peter Friedman, Zoe Lister-Jones, Dierdre O’Connell, Amy Redford, John Rothman, Thomas Sadowski, and Myra Lucretia Taylor.
