Uma Thurman, Patty Considine, and Tony Award winner Jonathan Pryce will star in HBO’s film version of David Hare’s 2000 play My Zinc Bed, according to Variety. Hare will write the adaptation, and the film will be directed by Anthony Page. It is expected to air sometime in 2008.

The play, which debuted at London’s Royal Court, concerns a young and idealistic alcoholic who has an affair with his wealthy boss’ wife. Hare is currently represented on Broadway as the director of The Year of Magical Thinking; his many plays include The Vertical Hour, Via Dolorosa, Plenty, and The Blue Room.

Page won the 1997 Tony Award for Best Direction for the revival of A Doll’s House. He has also directed Broadway revivals of Heartbreak House (1983), Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (2003), and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (2005).
