Fellner, Jackson, Stanley, et al. Set for O’Neill Musical Readings

Casting has been announced for the readings at the the Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center’s National Muscial Theater Conference next month in Waterford, Connecticut.

Notes to MariAnne, a musical by David Rossmer and Dan Lipton, will run July 14-15 and 19-20. It will feature Jenny Fellner, Suzan Postel, Monique French, Jason Wooten, Dennis Parlato, Andrew Samonsky, Ken Triwush, Eric Bondoc, and Alicia Irving.

Red Eye of Love, an adaptation of a play by Arnold Weinstein, with book and lyrics by Weinstein and John Wulp and music by Jan Warner, will play July 21, 22, 25 and 27.
The cast will include Cheyenne Jackson — who is taking a short leave from the Broadway musical Xanadu — Elizabeth Stanley, Joe Grifasi, Cole Burden, Kimberly Chesser, Harris Doran, Anne Kittredge, Jason Ma, Monique Midgette, and Paul Stovall.

Meanwhile, eight plays will be read at the National Playwrights Conference: Deborah Zoe Laufer’s End Days (July 5 and 7); James Still’s The Velvet Rut (July 6 and 8); Samuel Brett Williams’ The Woodpecker (July 11 and 13); Rebecca Gilman’s The Crowd You’re In (July 12 and 14); Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa’s Good Boys and True (July 18 and 20); Karen Zacarias’ The Book Club Play (July 19 and 21); Lucy Caldwell’s Guardians (July 25 and 27); and Ifa Bayeza’s The Ballad of Emmett Till (July 26 and 28).

Among the many other notable actors who will appear in the readings are Cherise Booth, Daniel Breaker, Rebecca Brooksher, Dana Delany, Colman Domingo, Mike Doyle, Peter Friedman, Zoe Lister-Jones, Dierdre O’Connell, Amy Redford, John Rothman, Thomas Sadowski, and Myra Lucretia Taylor. Previously announced participant Julie White had to withdraw due to filming on her ABC-TV series Caveman
