Will Chase will play the leading role in High Fidelity, the upcoming Broadway musical comedy based on the Nick Hornby novel that also served as the basis for the popular film of the same title.
The show will play at the Colonial Theatre in Boston from September 26 through October 22; in November, it will begin performances in a Broadway theater yet to be announced.

The musical pairs songwriters Tom Kitt and Amanda Green with Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Lindsay-Abaire. The production team includes Walter Bobbie (direction), Christopher Gattelli (choreography), Anna Louizos (set design), Theresa Squire (costume design), Ken Billington (lighting design), and Acme Sound Partners (sound design).

Chase will play Rob, a pop-music junkie and record store owner who knows how to itemize his collection by genre, alphabetically, chronologically, and even according to his first encounter with the band in question but has trouble bringing the same order to his calamitous love life. He has starred on Broadway in Aida, Lennon, Rent, The Full Monty, and Miss Saigon.
