The production of Nixon's Nixon is to be helmed by its original director Jim Simpson; it will run September 20-October 28, with an official opening slated for October 4. The design team will include Kyle Chapulis (sets and lighting), Claudia Brown (costumes), and Jill DuBoff (sound). The show, which is set on the night before Nixon announced his resignation, imagines a secret meeting between Nixon and Kissinger in the White House. Nixon's Nixon originated in 1995 at MCC, and transferred to a commercial run at the Westside Theatre in March 1996. Bamman won Obie and Drama League awards for his performance.
MCC's season will continue in January with a still-to-be-named play, followed by LaBute's In a Dark, Dark House, about a man and his complicated relationship with his father. It will run May 16-June 23, with an official opening slated for June 7. No director or cast has been announced. MCC is currently presenting LaBute's Some Girl(s).
