Hart, Knight, Schneider, Tolan, Wilson to Appear at NYC’s Drama Book Shop

Legendary actresses Kitty Carlisle Hart, Shirley Knight, and Elizabeth Wilson will make special appearances later this month at The Drama Book Shop (250 West 40th Street).

Hart will join Jared Brown, the author of Moss Hart: A Prince of the Theatre, a biography of her late husband, at 7pm on Thursday, June 22. In addition, Anne Kaufman Schneider, the daughter of Hart’s writing partner George S. Kaufman, will be on hand for this reading, Q&A and book signing.

On Monday, June 26 at 6pm, Knight and Wilson will join Jon Krampner, the author of Female Brando: The Legend of Kim Stanley for a panel discussion on the life of the late actress. Actor Michael Tolan will also participate in the event. Stanley and Knight co-starred in the 1964 Broadway production of The Three Sisters, directed by Lee Strasberg, while Wilson and Stanley co-starred in the 1954 Broadway production of William Inge’s Picnic.
