Josh Hamilton, Jayne Houdyshell, and Gillian Jacobs will star in a free reading of Elizabeth Meriwether’s new play Bobby at 7pm on Monday, June 26 at Ars Nova (511 West 54th Street). The reading, part of Ars Nova’s Out Loud series, will be directed by Carolyn Cantor.

The play concerns 17-year-old Pinu, who has decided to spend the rest of her life dressed as Bob Dylan, while finding her mother who has walked out of rehab without telling anyone where she’s going. Meriwether’s plays include The Mistakes Madeline Made and Heddatron.

Hamilton was most recently seen on stage in the New Group’s production of Hurlyburly and will be seen on Broadway this fall in The Coast of Utopia. Houdyshell received a Tony Award nomination for her work this season in Well, for which she previously won an Obie Award. Jacobs co-starred in the short-lived television series The Book of Daniel.
