Six Feet Under star Frances Conroy will join Tom Irwin, Tessa Thompson, and Jan Triska in the American premiere of David Greig’s Pyrenees, which will play the Center Theatre Group’s Kirk Douglas Theatre in Los Angeles, July 2-30. The production, to be directed by Neel Keller, will open officially on July 9.

The play is set on the balcony of a remote hotel in the French Pyrenees, where a man who seems to be British is recovering after he was found lying unconscious in the snow. A young woman rom the British Consulate interviews the man and tries to piece together his identity from linguistic peculiarities and fragments of recollection. The identity they both begin to envision is jeopardized by the arrival of a personwho claims to know the man’s past.

The show will feature a set design by Mark Wendland, costume design by Allison Leach, lighting design by Geoff Korff, and sound design by Robbin E. Broad and Michael Hooker.

Conroy received a Tony Award nomination for The Ride Down Mt. Morgan and a Drama Desk Award for The Secret Rapture. Her other New York stage credits include Ring Round the Moon, The Rehearsal, Broken Glass, and In The Summer House. She is best known for her role as Ruth Fisher on HBO’s Six Feet Under, for which she won the Golden Globe and SAG Awards as Best Actress in a Drama Series.
