Eder, Feinstein, Goldberg, Lavin, Valli, et al. Set for NJ Community Theatre Season

The Community Theatre of New Jersey’s 2006-2007 season will feature over 70 events, including concerts, theatrical revues, and children’s shows. The season officially begins with an Opening Night Gala on November 3, which includes performances by cabaret stars Michael Feinstein and Linda Eder.

Season highlights include a solo performance by Tony Award winner Whoopi Goldberg (November 4), The Flying Karamazov Brothers’ new piece Life: A Guide for the Perplexed (November 11), a performance by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons (November 17), the satirical stylings of The Capitol Steps (December 1), a performance by the Drama Desk-nominated Golden Dragon Chinese Acrobats (January 6), Nick Berg’s revue 100 Years of Broadway (January 19), Linda Lavin’s acclaimed cabaret act The Song Remembers When (February 10), the New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players’ revival of The Pirates of Penzance (April 20), and the Broadway hit Forever Tango (May 17).

Shows specially designed for children include The Enchantment Theatre’s spin on Cinderella (January 14), the beloved Berenstain Bears on Stage! (February 25), Imago Theatre’s biglittlethings (March 2), and the New Jersey Ballet’s production of Hansel and Gretel (May 20).
